The Art of Getting By (2011)

George is a fatalistic senior high school student who is a gifted artist. He is often hunted by the realization that he will die someday, he ceases to complete his homework, as he feels that everything is meaningless (love his realization tho). That’s until he met Sally, a beautiful, matured, and complicated girl who recognizes in him a kindred spirit. The movie tells it’s viewers that Love is the toughest lesson. George and Sally are living in completely to opposite worlds, but they became real friends. Soon after knowing each other George developed loving Sally more than just a friend. Sally not totally aware of George’s feelings friendzoned him accidentally, the movie then shows how break ups affect teens and how it can really depress them. George decided to go back to school when he sees his mom only relying on him to graduate and go to a decent college. 

I really love the movie because it really speaks out to the youth. It shows life values that are very realistic. The movie also showcased how cutting classes can be fun lol. George is just perfect I can’t say nothing else but he’s really perfect for the role, he looks so delicate, so innocent. I love how the movie touched my heart in discussing about love, friends, and family issues. It’s a must watch movie I swear!
